did this hike 10 yrs. ago from the south end. the hike went well till the north peak which was in the clouds. nuts! I then went down to the col and up the path to the south peak. there I found a "wire device" with a whistle and broken plastic cover hanging on a tree at the summit. going back down the clouds started to break up and when I got back to the spur for the north peak , I made a return trip. good move because the views were very good. the return trip was uneventful except for the GNATS. these peaks are super! |
