Great hike as always, but it was unusually crowded for so late in the day (started the hike shortly after 5 PM). Lots of people starting their hikes, including a very large group from a summer program that pulled up in a charter bus and two vans. Don't blame 'em for starting so late- IMO, Kearsarge is best hiked in the late afternoon/evening.
