|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Glenn Boulder trail could use a haircut. The Spruces are taking over the trail, especially on thge ridge leading to the famous, rather largish glacial leftover. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Saw a couple. Zoe was certainly the stand out best for a 8 year old cattle dog. |
|
| Bugs: |
Too hot even for the bugs, apparently. They checked into air conditioned digs with cold drinks forbtgge day. |

| Comments: |
Heat and humidity in the trees was appreciable. Perhaps an understatement.
I've been on Boott Spur twice before in summer heat. But this was, whoa, special.
Our "A" plan was Mt Isolation via Davis Path, but decided long before Davis & Glenn Boulder junction to go with with Plan "B": bail and head down Glenn Boulder. Plans "C" and "D" were other 10 mile hikes. Plan "E" was something like Mt Willard, followed by a brewery tour.
Still, it was gorgeous on the ridges with blue skies and a few puffy clouds, and some nice breezes to cool us down. A good day to be up the NH mountains to be sure. |
