First time I took the Asquam Ridge Trail to the Moose. A lovely, relatively easy trail, at least to the Beaver Brook junction. Even after that not too bad. Bagged Mt. Jim (a short herd path to the right) and maybe Mt. Blue. There is a well-defined herd path off the Beaver Brook trail, but after a while there are multiple paths. Therefore, although I went to what I thought was the height-of-land I am not sure I hit the actual summit of Blue. Since I was solo, I did not want to wander around too much. Oh well, if I actually do the Traiwrights list I would have to return to do one of these again anyway! |
