Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Parking for 10 or so vehicles currently - one other car in lot today. A warning for those heding up 113 to trail head - there are a number of large frost heaves and bumps some of which will send your vehicle flying. Most of these are unsigned and some are hard to see until you're right on top of them so drive with care.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Snow - Unpacked Powder, Snow - Wet/Sticky, Standing/Running Water on Trail
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Snowshoes
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Crossings on Slippery Brook are all open and flowing and all can be crossed on rocks. For those heading up Baldface Circle trail towards Eagle Crag or North Baldface - I took a look at the major crossing of Charles Brook right after Circle Junction - the water level was fairly low and it looked like it could be crossed via rock hopping with some care.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A couple of blowdowns on Baldface circle before circle junction all can be walked under - there is one large blowdown that is being held up by some small trees thats going to come down once these smaller trees give way. Four blowdowns on Slippery Brook easily stepped over or gone under; 4 blowdowns on Eastman Mountain Trail easily gotten over or around.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: An easy trail for the canines.

Comments
Comments: I'd been wanting to get back to Eastman and today was perfect - clear blue skies though with some wind - a lesser visited peak with some great views. Baldface Circle trail was packed to junction with Slippery Brook trail and it looked like it had also seen significant traffic heading up to the shelter and South Baldface. Slippery Brook had not seen any traffic since before the latest snow storm - there was snow cover ranging from an inch down low to 4-6 inches towards the top on top of a solidly packed base. This snow cover ranged from light powder to wet and sticky snow depending on sun exposure and elevation. A few open spots with running water. Eastman Mountain trail was unbroken with 4-6 inches of powder on a solid base. Started in light traction but quickly changed to snowshoes on Slippery Brook and wore them the rest of the day. Baldface Knob trail was unbroken and it looked like it hadn't seen traffic in quite a while.
