Out and back to Stillwater Junction for the easiest 18-mile day I've ever had. Trails were in perfect shape from Lincoln Woods to the Thoreau Falls trail junction. Beyond that, there were a number of minor blowdowns and sections that could benefit from a tiny bit of brushing. Nothing that impeded route-finding or travel! Just clearly a section of lightly-used trail deep in a wilderness area. Very, very pleasant run/hike on a day when I wanted to redline some miles and also get home in a timely fashion. |
