Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Read much on this trail noting how overgrown it is. And it was, badly overgrown so I put in well over an hour pruning as I hiked up and down. Now like a freeway. Thanks to those who had cut down recent blow-downs! LOTS of standing water, one of those trails that will always be wet - always. Suggest wearing boots and not low-cuts. Most mud is avoidable, but when you do go in, some spots go in almost a foot. Not much you can do to address most of them as they cannot be drained. If any formal crew assigned to these trails, all waterbars need to be dug out on Rocky Branch.

Comments
Comments: Nice trail despite the conditions, but the pruning made it go by quicker! Met a bunch of great guys at the top. One scored his 48 on this hike, congrats! Hiked out part with the others. Beautiful views as most have noted, banner day with very little haze. The tricky thing about this hike is that the first two miles is the steepest until you approach Isolation, but that leaves miles 13-15 as the steep downhill return. Really not all that steep even. The trip took 8.5 hours with well over an hour of pruning and about a 20 min stop at the top.
