| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Glen Ellis Falls is a fee parking area. The pavement has many voids and could use new asphalt. |

Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
|
| Recommended Equipment: |
|
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
No significant crossings |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trails mostly in good condition. The fir scrub between Glen Boulder and Davis Path needs to be trimmed back as the boughs extend in to the pathway. Bog bridges marginally useful at best on many mud spots on Davis Path between Isolation East and Mt Isolation. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Some ledges near Glen Boulder may be difficult for some dogs. Water is scarce in the higher elevation stretches of both trails. |

| Comments: |
Decided to avoid the watery Rocky Branch and Isolation trails. Opted for the higher elevation approach which meant more elevation gain and loss but afforded great views and not much mud.
Many hikers out today with many achieving their 48th NH 4K today and two others their 47th. Met one young woman on Mt Isolation who is attempting a 7 or 8 day capture of all 48 peaks. |
