On a whim we stopped by White Lake State Park. The views from the beach to the mountains are grand! Mt Chocorua and west/south and around to Mt. Whitter are amazing and worth a visit on its own. The State Park has no information on their website about the hiking trail and the booth attendant only knew where it started and finished. Trail is in nice condition and looks well used. We passed by a branch loop Pitch Pine spur trail that I later learned is a point to point but we never saw where it came rejoined the loop trail, no idea if it is maintained. These trails are mentioned in the beginning of White Mountain Guide geography Section 8. |
