| Comments: |
Great views from these lower peaks on the Montalban Ridge, while many of the 4000-footers (including the Presidentials to the north) were in the clouds. Excellent trail work with well-placed rock stairs on the way to Mt. Crawford. A few car wash sections walking through wet foliage between Crawford and Resolution. Rugged footing at times (as expected) up to Mt. Stairs. We didn't see anyone else until after the Mt. Crawford spur on the way back, after which point we saw 15 people to make up for it. Definitely felt more like fall than summer! |
