Comments
Comments: The trail was great! There's one short section of ledge a little before breaking treeline that was a bit sketchy due to the cascade of water running down from the previous night's storm.

After passing the warning sign about bad weather, I broke treeline right into a cloud. I briefly questioned my sanity when the wind gusts picked up as I navigated the boulder field section in the fog.
Right as I was nearing the junction with the Eisenhower loop trail, I watched the wind blow the clouds away from the valley just in time to hear and see the Cog start it's ascent.

The summit was completely socked in. I hunkered down behind the cairn to try and hide from the wind while I ate my sammich and drank my victory beer. Apparently the mountain wanted a sip, because the wind toppled it at one point. I was fine with sharing some.

Once back down on Edmands path, things had mostly cleared up. Even Washington was in the clear when I was driving back through Crawford on the way home. Next time maybe I'll sleep in an extra hour and give the sun more time to clear the clouds. All the friendly hikers I met on their way up should have had great views when they summited.

Great day on the trail!
