| Comments: |
Continued on road blocked by the boulders, a nice jeep road. After about 1 mile, it becomes a grassy snowmobile trail. Fortunately, ATV's have been going up this way and mashed the grass down. Followed the trail up to a ledge with great views of Berlin below and the Mahoosucs etc. on the horizon. Snowmobile trail continues steeply up to the summit ledges. Started our very short bushwhack at the initial height of land and located the jar on one of several bumps. Explored the ledges a bit with views of the Presidentials and Mount Jericho before heading back down the way we came up. Trail is really nice, mostly moderate hiking except for the last .1 mile which steepened quite a bit. |
