Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Drove up Success Pond Road about 3 miles to a 4-way junction where the left turn is signed as an active mine area; took a right here and drove to the first left turn which was an ATV road. Parked near the start as found that there was a culvert about .1 mile down we would have bottomed out on!

Comments
Comments: Walked up the ATV road until it disappeared then followed overgrown skid roads to the base of Bald Cap. Here we started our bushwhack and climb. Pretty steep but not unmanageable. Did hit one 20'-25' Cliff face which we were able to climb and continued up through increasingly scrappy spruce to where the grade became much easier. Still quite a ways to go but we found the jar: a white PVC pipe. Took a heading towards the Appalachian Trail. Had hoped to come out at the ledges but the spruce was so ridiculously thick we just made for the nearest AT crossing. Hit the corridor then more thick spruce before popping out onto the AT. Followed the AT to a bump in the col between Bald Cap and Trident. Here we headed into the woods once again heading for the end of the ATV road. Dropped down towards Page Pond where we managed to get on an unofficial trail which took us almost to the road but when it started to head away from our car, we joined a skid road more in our direction. This ended at a gravel pit and ultimately the dirt road. We walked the road towards our car, passing through a gate which was marked No Trespassing on the opposite side. Our car was about .1 mile beyond this point.
