Comments
Comments: All kinds of weather today, sun, fog, cold wind, misting but once on Horn beautiful. Bright sun breeze views for miles. Heavy rain the night before made trails slippery & muddy. Cabot Cabin socked in the clouds. Well worn trail to true summit to the left of Mt Cabot sign. Don't remember it being so obvious 3 years ago. Trail to spring is easy to spot. Went down until it became a bushwhack. I turned around as everything was soaked & I was good on water. Rocks very slippery coming down from Cabot. The Bulge was quicker than I expected as was the Horn. Easy spur trail, 10 mins to the views. I went to left for a quick scramble to top. If you go just past the scramble through a tree there is an easier climb to top. Path is well worn. So worth the long hike, views into Maine & Vermont. Uneventful decent until Unknown Pond, Beautiful. Too bad there are not more lookout spots. Didn't hike down as there were several signs saying it had been recently reforested due to illegal camping. Great Hike!
