Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The two small crossings were easy.

Trail Maintenance Notes: There were many soggy and muddy areas down low, and some higher up.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: No poochies we’re sighted today. They should be fine.
Bugs
Bugs: Come on, it’s October! Biting black flies were waiting for suckers like us at the lunch log by the signs at the Cabot summit area.

Comments
Comments: The weather really cooperated, which made this a great hike. We never saw a town line sign at 1.0 mile. Unknown Pond is a lovely spot. We decide to visit The Horn last, which worked out well. At The Horn, we squeezed through the big crack between two rocks on the left, then went way to the back to get up the summit rock the easiest way.
