| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Crawford Connector lot only a quarter full at 7:30 a.m., which surprised me. Cars were parked well up the road at Edmunds by the time I reached that lot at 1:45. |
| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
| Recommended Equipment: |

| Water Crossing Notes: |
Only substantial crossing was near the bottom of Edmunds Path. No problem rock-hopping this but that is obviously subject to change with predicted rain this week. |
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
No obstructions. Crews have done a great job on Crawford Path between Pierce and Eisenhower, putting in a number of bog bridges and adding some scree walls to keep folks on-trail. |
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Saw a number of them. |
| Bugs: |
Saw one. |

| Comments: |
Great day. Light mist in the morning gave way to clearing by the time I reached Ike. An undercast showed a lot of the peaks as "islands".
One general comment, applicable to this and other trails I have hiked over the last couple of months: There seems to be a lot of bypassing of wet areas and minor ledges/rocks on the trails. This is spreading out the trail in ways that are probably not good long-term. I don't have a solution but I am noticing this more and more. |
