 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
I parked on bog road in campton at the start of a class 6 road that runs on the west side of chandler hill. this road is also likely accessible from the north, but I did not scout it out. I did note a foot path up high on the mountain and it almost certainly originates from the north somewhere. the class 6 could be driven by a jeep or big 4wd. anything else would be silly. |

 | Comments: |
the class 6 was wet and muddy in spots, but the walking was quick to a point west of chandler. the bushwhack up was in logging regrowth with fairly wet footing in places. once near the summit I noted a lightly used footpath that continued over a couple possible high bumps ending at one marked with a cairn and old canister handle. some limited views to the south. I dropped off the summit to the southeast towards round with good woods to start before hitting a thick patch of logging regrowth on a flat shoulder. I tried to work around it to the south, but eventually pushed through to steeper open woods with rocky footing down into the drainage between the peaks. good open woods to the summit of round (recognized) which has been paritally cut over fairly recently creating some limited views. I had thought I would drop back into the drainage between the peaks to head down, but got the impression there might be more development in there than I had thought so instead headed down almost due south off of round finding some steep going and small cliffs to navigate before hitting nasty pricker filled regrowth on the south shoulder. once through that the woods were good down to the road leaving a modest walk back to the car. |
