Parking/Access Road Notes: No issues parking.  
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Ice - Black, Wet Trail, Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Ice - Breakable Crust, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Significant, Leaves - Significant/Slippery, Slush, Snow/Ice - Small Patches

Recommended Equipment: Light Traction 
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: a couple of minor ones with a slightly wider one on Valley Way.  
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Caps Ridge was clear. Three or four blowdowns all on Valley Way including a major one blocking the trail. May be tricky with the upcoming snow. There was the full variety of trail on Sunday from light leaves to full black ice. There was also plenty of mud. We did a lot of rock hopping.

Comments: A snowy and windy day on the trail. We only saw four other people. We did not use microspikes or snowshoes but had plenty of layers.
