We were expecting a bit more snow than there was. Turns out we could've left the boots at home and just taken regular footwear. There is a dusting of snow remaining, but it is melting and quickly disappearing. Near the eastern ledges there are some ice flows, although they are all avoidable. Also a pretty good mud pit at one point below the eastern ledges, but it's easy to avoid in the open woods. Very nice autumn conditions overall, no traction needed, although that will likely change tomorrow night. |
