Comments
Comments: Terrific loops for jogging the flats. Especially like the loop near the pond - lots of good footing and old roads. Terrific views from Big Sugarloaf. Debated going up Bear Mtn as I was already at the jct but didn't want to stay out too late. Successfully avoided Little Sugarloaf - I'm not a fan of the footing over and around it. Only saw 1 person. A bit of gunfire on the backside -always glad to have on orange. Always fun in this area. Saw some actual geese flying above Goose Pond - that's a first for me!!!!

Not easy to find yellow trail from Bear Mtn Rd - I jogged past it northbound - I kept looking for it. Found it on my way back up the hill after turning around at the Elwell Trail left turn for Bear Mtn. Then, coming off the summit of Big Sugarloaf, the White Trail was a bit hidden. I slipped and slid on dry leaves in several places on the descent - there are no switchbacks so it's just straight down. Once down, near a pond connector, I followed a newish white-blazed trail around (I don't think it was the Brook Trail - it seemed to be a re-route of some type - not really sure).
