Rock hopping on Falling Waters. Rocks slippery because of snow and ice. |

Occasional blowdowns on Falling Waters. Could be easily stepped over or under. |

There was fresh snow from the week and clearly a dusting since hikers passed on 11/8. While Falling Waters is a challenging trail, the snow and ice conditions were much more favorable than the ice and slush on the way down Old Bridle. Franconia Ridge was primarily blown clear, with occasional posthole drifts - not quite enough to warrant snowshoes yet. |
