| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
There was a precariously hanging trunk about 50 feet from the webster/jackson junction on the webster side, between the junction and the waterfall pond. It has an attractive handhold, but is basically dangling vertically right over the trail, and if you touch it it swings like a pendulum. I didn't have anything good to flag it with, but I tried to wrap a piece of paper around it that said "danger", and told the folks at the AMC center. Hope it doesn't fall on anybody's skull. |

| Comments: |
Snow ~6 inch depth on the saddle between the two peaks, some drifts near the tops. Beautiful cloudless day, but damn, it was cold - high winds at the top of Jackson at 930AM and the temperature was probably around 0F. I brought spikes and did not end up using them, though they'd be moderately useful in a few spots. |
