Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: At Cardigan Lodge in Alexandria. Shem Valley Road was a mix of snow and mud. AWD not required but makes it easier. There is a new sign before reaching the lodge warning folks of being towed if they park along the road and block the plowing.

Surface Conditions: Snow - Trace/Minimal Depth, Wet Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Snow - Wet/Sticky

Trail Maintenance Notes: Blazing on Nature Trail could be redone.

Lost and Found: Nothing. 
 
Comments
Comments: Just a short walk to gather some data on Nature Trail for the SNHG. Minimal snow depth mixed with a few minor muddy areas. No traction needed here. I could see driving in that the summit of Cardigan is snowy.
