Comments
Comments: Needed to get out of the house after so much bad weather and didn't want to drive all the way up to The Whites, besides I'd never been up to North Avery Hill.

An inch of snow on the summit of Straightback and some water on the trail at the summit because of melting.

Some deep sections of slippery leaves mixed with a little water/snow/ice near the top of Blueberry Pasture Trail. Ended up on my butt on one of the sections, it came right out of nowhere and got me. It was a slow, controlled fall, no harm done.

Only saw one hunter sitting on the side of Old Stage Rd, half way between Blueberry Pasture Trail and Jesus Valley - Beaver Pond Trail.
