| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
At the beginning of the Webster Branch there is a tree suspended vertically 18-24" off the ground, hung up overhead. Very dangerous, we made our may around but more snow will cover the bottom. This needs to be dealt with before any significant snowfall. 2-3 blowdowns with herd paths on this trail as well. |

Plan was loop hike over to Pierce, but when we got on Jackson completely clouded in. We could not find Webster Cliff Trail so we hung out & were rewarded with amazing 360 views, blue skies & an amazing undercast surrounding us! Truly an amazing sight! Sun out very warm no wind. In & out of clouds cold & light wind. Just an amazing time on top. Lunch & beers with the Gray Jays. Stayed on top for 90 minutes, only 1 other came up. Webster was 1st but completely in the clouds. No views cold wind. Only saw 4 others all day. Below 3700ft back in the clouds. Bare booted until just below Jackson. Spikes the rest of the day. Snowshoes not recommended/needed right now. Too many rocks not covered. Trail is well packed with 2-4 inches fresh snow on top, but easy to follow. Thanks Kevin just a great day to be out. |
