| Comments: |
Bennett Street trail was very gentle. Shoulder season conditions with leaves and crusty ice patches low. Mashed potato snow of a couple inches midway. More consolidated snow of a few inches as you gain elevation. Spikes on and off. What a wonderful way to do the Dome!! The deluge of rain on Sunday provided beautiful cascades all along the brook. The snow up higher gives a peak into the wild life that we don't have awareness of otherwise. snowshoe hare, bear, lots off fresh bear tracks. The return route included a 0.5 section of Flat Mtn Pond trail which was a wet mess of leaves and Gleason Trail which was rather benign except for one crossing that was manageable.Very mellow and enjoyable way to the Dome. |
