Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Mainly avoidable blowdowns, but there were a few we had to crawl over or go around. After one water crossing up Brook Trail it was difficult to find the trail as there were many smaller branches down in that condensed area. We eventually figured it out and made our way through them. There is one tree down across the trail that was at forehead height for me and I missed it by inches. I practiced occasionally looking up afterwards.

Comments
Comments: The first half of the Brook Trail is covered with leaves, no snow and some ice. As we ascended the second half, there was more ice and then snow coverage up to the summit. The reverse took place heading down Liberty. We were fine in spikes along both trails, even on the ledges. Finding blazes was sometimes challenging. It was a beautiful day to be out hiking.
