| Comments: |
Mostly dry trail down low with leaves. About 1/3 of the way up, there was scattered packed snow mixed with a series of ice flows. It seems the constant thawing/freezing has left a good chunk of the middle 1/3 of the trail quite icy. The middle 1/3 was a bit slow going as we avoided ice and stuck to snow/rock while debating putting on the spikes. We switched to microspikes at about 2/3 of the way up for the steady ice/snow from there to the summit. |
