Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Really tight parking along Faxon Hill Road at a wooden gate where the MSG heads southeast. I managed to get most of the way, but not all the way off the road near the gate. Just up the road at the junction with Pine Point Road is a better pulloff, but it's presently occupied by a large piece of heavy construction equipment. I imagine any parking in this area is non-existent in winter.

Comments
Comments: A quick hike before the storm moves in. The trail was a mix of bare ground and minimal frozen snow. I carried an old pair of spikes just in case, but they weren't needed today. Also a couple of small areas of black ice on the ledges below the summit. The cap of the summit register is broken, so water got in and froze the rolled-up notepad. Interesting views, but I imagine more restricted in summer with the leaves out.
