Comments
Comments: Trails were hard packed snow over an ice base. Opted to stay with the micro-spikes which provided good traction. Carried snowshoes but did not have to wear them as there was no tendency to posthole. The steep slope from South Hancock to the Loop junction was a butt slide track which made descent a bit tricky on the polished chute with some exposed ice.
A few hikers out today. Very little wind. Good views from Hancock outlook, many places on the ridge, and from South Hancock.
