Parked on Kanc in the snowbank, not that much snow down low so no issue for 4 wheel drive -- that will change with more snow if the spaces aren't plowed |

Bare booted the first couple of miles, streams all easy to cross. Switched to snowshoes for the televators and needed them for the traction on the steep climb. Only a single set of footprints all the way to North Tripyramid summit so we made a snowshoe track and packed that down. No activity between North and Middle peaks, the 4 of us broke trail all the way and made a nice track. At least two feet of loose powder up high, drifts were even deeper. Fresh moose activity at the higher elevations created some deep postholes to deal with. Beautiful fresh snow hike!! (if the link below doesn't work use https://) |
