| Comments: |
Carried snow shoes although I didn’t think I would need them and I didn’t, not even a question. The trails were solidly packed for most of the day and even down to the bare ground on the Imp trail.
From the 19MB parking to South Carter there was a nice track. After that it was mixed - the track had many, many frozen postholes. At times it was fine but also very tedious at times. Not sure why you would want to travel postholing so often. The North Carter and Imp trails were fine but narrow at points. If you’re considering a carters traverse or Cats and Carters traverse, now is the time. |
