Same blowdowns as have been there, easily stepped over/under. One scary and badly broken tree on the trail that will come down soon and you don't want to be around when it does. |

After reading yesterday's (alarmist) report, I went with micros and full crampons, but not snowshoes. Cover is fairly light down low with some drifts on the steeps and the Carriage Road, but nothing that remotely requires float. There is considerable ice in places under a few inches of light fluffy snow, so you need to be careful. But all the exposed rocks would make crampon or snowshoe travel cumbersome. |
