Comments: Last year I figured out that for me to get Eisenhower, I needed to watch the trip reports to make sure it's packed out (because breaking and initial route finding are tough), then wait for one of those low wind warm days, and.. make damn sure, like an MBA fighter, you be ready in good condition when that day came along, so you can jump on it and take that peak.
I read Georg's report last nite and said, "Jeesh, that was quick! The day is here already! And the starting gun has only just gone off!!"
So I got Eisenhower today, that's number 20 for me, at age 62. And I was decidedly NOT in MBA fighter condition, either!
I wore snowshoes from car to peak and back. A couple times up on the steeps of Eisenhower I would have liked my crampons on, for like six seconds, but those were like very tiny icy sections that didn't really give me that much trouble in snowshoes.
I sure appreciated that report last night, and the work you guys did breaking and packing. Thank you, I couldn't have done it without your help.
