Today's weather was perfect. The trails are as good as they get, water crossings are easy, it really doesn't get any better than this!
There was some sketchy ice as we descended the summit of Jackson heading towards Pierce, but with light traction you will be fine. The conditions are just splendid if you love the vanishing of the rocks under the snow, and the invincible feeling that micro spikes give you. Enjoy it while it lasts!! (I know I will.)
I have a feeling that the weather over the next several days is going to change things dramatically, but if you were lucky enough to be out there today, congratulations! |
