Comments
Comments: After Pappa Carl's report from Saturday, I figured I ought to hit the trail early to avoid the crowds! Turns out there were no crowds, at least not prior to 10:30am... I only saw two other people. Trails and bushwhacks were all hardpacked and easy to follow. Some leafy/earthy/patchy spots lower on Rocky Branch Tr, as well as on the bushwhack. And a few short icy sections higher up, e.g. on the spur trail to the summit. All very manageable, and I used spikes end to end. A really nice morning, 16 F and 8mph winds at Iso summit around sunrise.
