Comments
Comments: Really had pretty much every type of snow today. Crawford Path from Highland Center to jxn with Webster Cliff was a bit soft but easily passable with spikes only. Between Webster Cliff and Eisenhower, snow was powder and the trail was broken, but lots of people hiking without snowshoes has left it a bit rough and postholed. Would highly recommend snowshoes between that jxn and Eisenhower summit. Alpine section of trail was fairly easy to follow, but there are drifts and patches of rock/ice. Kept snowshoes on from Eisenhower summit over Pierce and on to Jackson. Super clean and well-broken trail between Mizpah Hut and Jackson summit; so crisp it looks like it was done with a snowblower. Left snowshoes on for about half a mile down the Jackson Branch Trail before switching back to spikes down to 302. Nice to see lots of people out today!
