Comments
Comments: Well late start to the day to see if the wind and cold would improve. The wind definitely died down but it was still pretty cold. When i left my car it was 8 and when I returned it was 4. I had a headcold so I got a head start on the steep Osceola before meeting up with Ashley. I had heard the ice climbers and were able to take some photos of them on the first cliff you pass. I then saw the couple that had made headway on the trail and re-broke it out. I then met the only other two I saw at the East peak stating it was very windy and still cold over at Osceola. Once they headed off we then headed down and around the chimney as it was all ice. Then made our way to the summit where we were gifted with sun and no wind! A plane kept flying overhead and of course we waved a few. It was about 2:20 when we got there and stayed for a short time before we headed on back. Once we made it back to East it was a controlled butt slide as that was the safest way possible. We were out before headlamps were even thought of. I walked back to my car down the road and Ashley headed back to her car up the road. All in all a good late day out.
