| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Greeley Pond Trailhead parking lot not plowed, and blocked by the road clearing snow ridge, such that even 4WD vehicles could not get in, I would imagine. Parked at the ski trailhead roadside parking area one-half mile west of the Greeley Pond Trailhead. We were the first to park there, and it was full upon our return. |

| Comments: |
My hiking partner and I started early, with only two sets of snowshhoe tracks ahead of us. We wore snowshoes from the trailhead to Osceola and part way back down Osceola, then switched to crampons, which we left on until getting down to the ski trail junction, at whcih point we switched back to snwoshoes for the hike out on the ski trail. By the time we were coming back down Osceola I counted ten pairs of snowshoes that had come up. After that I counted about another ten people bare-booting or using just light traction. There are no post holes, but the trail by the end of the day will be choppy as, in my opinion, descending with snowshoes would not be a safe option. The four folks who passed us heading over to Osceola were continuing on from Osceola to bushwhack to Middle Osceola, then to West Osceole, then to East Pond and out--my hat goes off to them. |
