Comments
Comments: I wish to reiterate Rick's admonition : Where the tracks on Engine Hill diverge be sure to take the upper track. The lower takes you on one of the worst engine hill tracks I have seen and I have seen many. Made a terrible one myself so I know! May the lower track get lost in the snow and drifts and abandoned. Jeb Bradley said the same : stay high! If you stay on the upper track you will be amused by the wallow where I attempted to step up a drift on the edge of a seep which gave way on me so I ended up on my back in deep snow. Needed two strong men to get me free!

Thank you to Rachel, Rick, Al, and Billy for busting out the drifts on the way up. And for breaking out the Express on the way down. That is a great route to Isolation summit. Thanks also to Melissa B and Darren for tolerating my slow pace. We had a fun day!

Snowshoes car to car! Crampons are NOT the correct equipment.
