Comments
Comments: Snowshoes are a must on these trails, which had also seen a lot of ski traffic. Easy going to the cabin, where there is a spectacular view of Franconia Ridge. Beyond that point, I followed ski and snowshoe tracks through several inches of powder to a point just shy of the summit, where the skiers had turned back. I then did a short and easy bushwhack to the high point and jar. Not too many visitors here but all of the names were familiar. If you need this peak for the NH500, go now, my tracks lead right to the jar.

Descending, I left the trail system (I think) and followed some old logging roads, one of which had seen snowshoe traffic. These eventually brought me out to the unmaintained extension of Dyke Road near where I parked.

No views at the summit, but the cabin site is definitely worth the short walk to get there!
