Comments
Comments: There was no snow at the trailhead on Rt 16, but about a third of a mile up the trail the snow appeared abruptly. It increased from an inch or two up to about a foot (mostly powder) in the last 3/4 mile to the viewpoint. There are multiple blowdowns and bendovers, which are heavily laden with frozen snow, so it doesn't fall off well when you whack the tree. It was slow going. Using snowshoes or barebooting is a judgement call at this point.
