The trail up to the outlook below Mt. Welch is well-packed, microspikes will suffice. On the way to the summit, it gets deeper and snowshoes are recommended. We saw many people without them tho and they were navigating fine. We kept our snowshoes on for the remainder of the loop - beautiful day for a hike! |
