| Comments: |
Trail is in great shape — stable packed snow most of the way. We used snowshoes but saw lots of people in microspikes. Final summit push was too thin for snowshoes — we barebooted that section. A couple patches of the trail were almost bare ground — very unusual for midwinter. More snow/freezing rain in the forecast tonight. If it’s snow it will help fill in the holes; if it’s rain it will make the conditions worse! |
