Welton Falls Trail (North), Elwell Trail, Mt Oregon Trail
No one had been out on Welton Falls Trail since the last snowstorm, so I broke trail all the way to the junction with Mt Oregon Trail. A group of snowshoers must have come up Old Dicey Rd, because the Elwell Trail heading west from this junction was broken out, as was the Mt. Oregon Trail. Mist and cloud cover robbed me of any views on the ledges along the Elwell, but still a beautiful trek in a wild, remote area. I saw dozens & dozens of moose, deer, rabbit, and coyote tracks in the snow. |
