First time hiking in Castle in the Clouds. Nice area and nice trails. Great snowshoeing. Mild to easy moderate all the way up. We used spikes up to the High Ridge Trail then switched over to snowshoes. Wore snowshoes all the way back to road road. Snow was starting to soften up and I think there have been a lot of bare booters going through so hopefully we packed it down some. But with the rain that moved in later in the day, no idea how the trail conditions are now. Saw lots of snowmobilers so be careful if you hike this in winter and probably more busy on the weekend. |
