Comments
Comments: We saw it all-- slush at lower altitudes, packed snow, granular snow with chunks of ice, loose powder with an icy crust...
ledges were snow-covered, not very icy with some exposed rock, scrambled up in our snowshoes, an ice axe helped here,
the ridge line between Whiteface and Passaconaway had some beautiful knee-deep powder. We wore snowshoes basically the whole way.
