| Comments: |
We used spikes to just below the Hancock Loop junction then switched to snowshoes for the rest of the day. There was about an inch of new snow on a fairly well packed base. It was firm enough to give good traction on the way up to North Hancock. Coming down from South Hancock involves minor glissading or butt sledding. Rocks are covered but there were 3 tiny spots with ice; they were not problematic. |
