Comments
Comments: First time up this steep ascent. Trail in excellent condition. Only needed spikes the full round trip. Took a chance not bringing snowshoes, and didn't regret it. Snow a bit deeper/more loose in the final 0.5 to the summit, above the ledges, but no problems at all in spikes.

This section of Davis Path is very steep, but not exposed, more of a long staircase and a big workout. Easy, grippy traction in spikes. Just enough snowpack to cover the boulders on the trail and ease footing.

Summit views are spectacular, even on this cloudy day. We had the summit to ourselves for a half hour. Very peaceful. A great one for your 52 WAV list.
