Started around 11am, and followed a fresh snowshoe track laid down by the folks who started ahead of me. Track was broken out heading up towards the East Ledges, so that was the direction of the loop I went.
I counted 8 of us total in snowshoes, which laid out the beginning of a great track.
Until..........
I passed a group of 3 bare booters heading up just below the Allen’s Ledge junction. I have no idea how much farther they went, but they were the last group up the mountain. So wherever they went, they tore up the track.
I hate playing snowshoe police, but the day after a snowstorm? No snowshoes when everyone else is breaking trail? Weak. |
